TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, for the delivery of training to international students, enrolled in a TAFE course in Western Australia. This nationally recognised course is delivered by a Western Australian TAFE college on TIWA's behalf. If you would like to work as a civil construction designer and need the skills to reach your goals, then enrol in RII50515 Diploma of Civil Construction Design. This industry requires people to perform a range of tasks, which may be complex and non-routine. This course will teach you to think outside the box, so that you are able to work autonomously to plan and determine the selection of equipment, roles and techniques for site-specific work designs to meet client’s site requirements.
You will also gain the knowledge and training to support civil engineers and builders who plan, design, inspect, and manage construction projects including the establishment of infrastructure facilities such as roads, railways, buildings, water reservoirs, subdivisions, airports, bridges, sewer systems, tunnels, dams and other public works.
After completing this course, you will have the ability to manage contracts, develop sketch designs, drawings and specifications suitable for construction purposes, prepare scope of work documents and undertake cost estimates.
