TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, for the delivery of training to international students, enrolled in a TAFE course in Western Australia. During your studies, you will learn about how to analyse plant performance, equipment and product failures, solve complex problems and manage risk and safety. You will also improve your ability to communicate with various stakeholders and manage processing teams. This course will broaden your existing skills and knowledge so that you can assist in the development of new products and contribute to plant modifications.

South Metropolitan TAFE delivers this course at the Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT) Centre which is located at the Munster campus. This is a world-class, specialist training facility featuring a fully operational oil and gas facility and process plant. You will experience hands-on, practical training in a real-life industry setting.

When you complete this course, you may be eligible for Associate Membership to Engineers Australia. You may also be eligible for advanced standing into relevant courses at University level.

Tuition fees

The fee displayed is the current tuition fee.

TIWA tuition fees are reviewed annually and can be viewed in the Schedule of Fees.

If tuition fees are increased you will be required to pay the new fees as they are introduced.

You will be provided with an indicative Schedule of Fees with your Letter of Offer.

Resource fees

Resource fees are for consumables used by a student in the course of their study e.g. paint, internet use etc. This fee is paid to your college at enrolment.

If your course goes for two semesters or more, the resource fee may not need to be paid in one amount but may be spaced out over the duration of your courses. Your college will advise you of the payment amount each semester.

Material fees

​The Materials fee includes any item that remains the property of a student after the course has been completed e.g. personal protective equipment, tools, text books etc... This fee is paid to your college at enrolment.
