I chose to study at TAFE because most classes are practical, so that you learn by doing. I also love to study with people from all over the world. I love living in Perth. The quality of life here is very good. Everything I love I have here, including beaches, parks, cinemas and events. International students make a difference at TAFE.

I chose TAFE because it is known for the quality of its courses. I wanted to develop skills that would be valuable for me here and also back in my home country.  I graduated from university back in my country, and I plan to study an international master degree.

Working with children in a real childcare setting and gaining meaningful experiences from it, helps me to become a better role model for children. My life long goal is to be an inspiring teacher to children. In completing my course I will be a step closer to achieving it.

I researched a few universities and training providers in WA and found that TAFE offers a very unique mode of learning delivery. The work simulations are a great way to allow students to learn and gain relevant skills to apply in the real workplace. The lectures are really helpful and patient students. They are willing to listen to our questions and explain well the answers.

I heard that graphic design is one of the best courses offered at TAFE and when compared to other universities it’s more practical and cheaper. This course helped to expand my skills and knowledge, and connect me with industry.

During my course, I did many new activities that I really enjoyed. For example I made a reflective journal, in which I wrote what I learnt that day. We also made a magazine, using different ways of communication, and we utilised a virtual platform with many resources for information.

I wanted to start a career in the community sector to begin a path towards a more rewarding profession. This course gave me a broad foundation and has opened a lot of doors. The knowledge and insight provided by my lecturers has been invaluable and the practical tools have given me the confidence to approach organisations in my community.

I had been in Perth for a year as working holiday and loved living in Perth. In that time, I heard that TAFE provides high level of education and practical courses that I need for my career. So I decided to study here.
