TAFE is cheaper than university and provides more practical work than university. I feel more confident and ready to work than learning just theory and having no practice. Also, I feel that there is more contact and support from lecturers at TAFE. There is also a lot to learn from each assignment we work on.

The best thing about my course is the hands on training and also the modern facilities and equipment. I really felt I received a high quality engineering education from TAFE. I gained new practical skills and not only theory-based learning. TAFE provides a globally accredited education that assists students to harness their skills and potential to be job ready in the future. 

I love nature. I was born and have grown up in the countryside with a clean environment and a variety of natural resources. However, with urbanisation, I witnessed changes of environmental quality as well as the loss of natural resources. Previously, I worked for six years as an environmental manager in Camau city, Vietnam.

Working with children in a real childcare setting and gaining meaningful experiences from it, helps me to become a better role model for children. My life long goal is to be an inspiring teacher to children. In completing my course I will be a step closer to achieving it.

I wanted to start a career in the community sector to begin a path towards a more rewarding profession. This course gave me a broad foundation and has opened a lot of doors. The knowledge and insight provided by my lecturers has been invaluable and the practical tools have given me the confidence to approach organisations in my community.
