Material fees are for items that remain your property after the course has been completed e.g. personal protective equipment, tools, text books etc. You pay this fee to your college at enrolment.

Fees paid by international students are set on a commercial basis and are paid as a whole of course fee - no refund will apply to credit transfers. The methods of assessment and collecting evidence used in this course include real work or real-time activities (such as direct observation, time is allocated in class to demonstrate learning and to ask questions about certain activities),  structured activities (such as simulation exercises, demonstration and activity sheets which include structured class activities and exercises),  and questioning (oral, computer or written by the student or lecturer which also indicates the students’ understanding of activities/concepts).

Assessment methods

The assessment methods used in this course are designed to simulate a “real” workplace.  Practical assessment use virtualisation technology to simulate a network similar to a small to medium business. Evidence gathering techniques include Observation (you may be given a series of tasks to undertake and students are assessed whilst undertaking the tasks), Simulation (most tasks are completed on a simulated network which is created to replicate the type of network the students will use in industry), Role play (such as customer support tasks are better suited to role play) and verbal and written questioning.
