North Metropolitan TAFE

You can study at North Metropolitan (NM TAFE) campuses in Balga, East Perth, Joondalup (Kendrew Crescent and McLarty campuses), Leederville, Mount Lawley and Perth.

NM TAFE offers specialty courses for international students in community services; environmental monitoring; engineering; and software development. It also has a wide range of study options including courses in accounting, business and management; creative industries; engineering; health, fitness and beauty; early childhood education; land and environmental management; digital media and information technology (IT); and hospitality, cookery and tourism.

Transport 

All NM TAFE campus locations are a short walk from public transport, provided by Transperth(opens in a new tab), including the bus and train. In Western Australia you will be eligible for a student discount(opens in a new tab) on all public transport. 

There is a free Central Area Transit (CAT)(opens in a new tab) bus that operates within the Perth Central Business District (CBD), and Joondalup CBD, and provides frequent services around the areas. 

Accommodation 

The Edith Cowan University (ECU) Village Mount Lawley(opens in a new tab) is 10 minutes by bus from the centre of Perth and transport to other TAFE campus locations. 

There is student accommodation (limited availability) near the Perth campus and a short stroll from the heart of Perth city's shopping and entertainment precinct.

South Metropolitan TAFE

You can study at South Metropolitan TAFE (SM TAFE) campuses in Bentley, Carlisle, Fremantle, Jandakot, Kwinana, MandurahMunster, Murdoch, Rockingham and Thornlie

SM TAFE offers specialty courses for international students in engineering; hospitality; maritime; oil and gas/process plant; and automotive. It offers a wide range of study options including courses in animal and marine studies (aquaculture); building design and construction; creative industries; aviation; accounting, business and management; early childhood education and community services; health, fitness and beauty; land and environmental management; cookery and tourism; and Information Technology (IT).

SM TAFE offers a mentor program connecting you with second-year students to help you settle in. You can meet new friends through college activities such as the Rottnest Island tour and Dwellingup camping trip.

SM TAFE offers a wide range of course options and specialised training delivery. You will receive high quality training and support from qualified lecturers.

  • Australian Centre for Energy and Process Training (ACEPT) at Munster campus features a fully operational oil and gas facility and process plant

Transport 

Parking is limited at some SM TAFE campuses. All campus locations are a short walk from public transport, provided by Transperth(opens in a new tab), including the bus and train. As an international student in WA, you are eligible for a student discount(opens in a new tab) on all public transport. 

There is a free Central Area Transit (CAT)(opens in a new tab) bus that operates within the Fremantle Central Business District (CBD) and provides frequent services around the areas.

Central Regional TAFE

You can study at Central Regional TAFE (CR TAFE) campuses in Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Northam

CR TAFE offers courses for international students in children and community services; hospitality; information technology; nursing; and science and environmental studies.

CR TAFE values academic excellence and will provide you with a high level of friendly support to achieve your goals. You will gain the practical skills and knowledge that industry needs. 

Transport

The main CRTAFE campus is situated in Geraldton(opens in a new tab), a vibrant regional city located approximately 450 kilometres, about four hours’ drive or one hour by plane north of Perth on the historic Batavia coast. Transwa(opens in a new tab) also operates a long distance bus service from Perth to Geraldton. 

When living in Geraldton, there is a bus service that operates within the City of Geraldton that supports transport to the Fitzgerald Street TAFE campus. As an international student in WA, you are eligible for a student discount(opens in a new tab) on all public transport. 

Accommodation 

CR TAFE offers on-campus student accommodation at Pepperell Village, purpose built for students studying at the college. Two residential supervisors offer international students dedicated support and assistance in adjusting to their new study and living environment.

North Regional TAFE

You can study at the North Regional TAFE (NR TAFE) campus in Broome

NR TAFE offers courses for international students in community services and hospitality.

North Regional TAFE is located in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. These areas of amazing beauty and contrasts offer a wilderness experience in the far north of WA. You will also have the opportunity to gain a unique experience of the Australian 'outback'. The main campus of NR TAFE is Broome.

You have access to the following facilities at the Broome campus.

  • Library with video conferencing facilities

Transport

The Broome campus is situated adjacent to the Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre (BRAC), within easy reach of the town centre and the iconic Cable Beach.

Flights between Perth and Broome are available through Qantas(opens in a new tab) or Virgin Australia(opens in a new tab)

Broome has a bus service that operates between the city centre and suburbs. As an international student in WA, you are eligible for a student discount(opens in a new tab) on all public transport.

There is currently no campus-based accommodation available at NR TAFE. International Centre staff can help you to find suitable accommodation.

South Regional TAFE

You can study at South Regional TAFE (SR TAFE) campuses in Albany and Bunbury

SR TAFE offers courses for international students in children and community services; and commercial cookery and hospitality.

SR TAFE campuses are located in the beautiful South West region of WA. You can enjoy the region’s pleasant climate, spectacular coastal scenery and recreational areas.

Accommodation 

Accommodation at Edith Cowan University's Bunbury Campus Living Village(opens in a new tab) has limited availability for students studying at the Bunbury campus.
