About this course

If you aspire to work in the music industry as either an employee or in your own business, then this is the course for you. You will learn how to combine music and business skills in event promotion, artist management, record label operations and music publishing. This hands-on approach throughout the year culminates in opportunities for work placement for you to apply a range of specific music business skills.

During your studies, you will learn a number of skills including:

  • developing current music industry practices;
  • promoting music events;
  • managing artists;
  • understanding record label operations, and
  • publishing music.

Admission requirements

  • An IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.

  • Equivalent to Australian Year 11.

  • OR Completion of CUA30915 Certificate III in Music Industry is required for entry into this course.

Tuition fees
