About this course

If you have an interest in how children grow, develop and learn, then the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is the course for you. This course prepares you for a future career in an early childhood setting, helping educators to provide a healthy, safe and caring environment for children.

You will develop the skills to work closely with people from different ages, cultures and backgrounds, including children, families and communities to support the holistic wellbeing, health and safety of all children. You will master the skills to encourage children to learn and become confident, and develop an understanding of how to support children with behavioural issues.

During your studies, you will have many opportunities to develop creative and sustainable educational programs, to be part of a team and navigate and comply with all the current legal and industry related requirements, policies and procedures needed to operate a Centre. You will be required to undertake a supervised work placement where you will apply all the skills and knowledge gained throughout your studies.

  • An IELTS score (Academic) of 6.0 with no band score less than 6.0 or equivalent.

  • Completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10.

Tuition fees

Resource fees

Resource fees are for consumables used by a student in the course of their study e.g. paint, internet use etc. This fee is paid to your college at enrolment.

If your course goes for two semesters or more, the resource fee may not need to be paid in one amount but may be spaced out over the duration of your courses. Your college will advise you of the payment amount each semester.

Material fees

​The Materials fee includes any item that remains the property of a student after the course has been completed e.g. personal protective equipment, tools, text books etc... This fee is paid to your college at enrolment.
