TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, for the delivery of training to international students, enrolled in a TAFE course in Western Australia. This nationally recognised course is delivered by a Western Australian TAFE college on TIWA's behalf. TIWA retains responsibility for the quality of the training and assessment delivered by the TAFE colleges and for the issue of certification documentation to students.

Do you want to make a difference to communities and enjoy working with people? The Certificate III in Community Services is a great starting point for a career in this thriving industry. This course will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to work effectively with individuals and groups in residential and community settings to identify their needs, and plan and develop appropriate services to meet those needs.
You will learn about the community services sector including mental health, alcohol and other drug services, and domestic violence services. You will acquire skills in communication, working effectively and appropriately with individuals and groups in a variety of settings, gathering, maintaining and providing information, advocacy and community development processes, ethical behaviour and the legal responsibilities of community workers.
As part of this course, you will undertake a supervised or simulated work placement where you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned.
