TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, for the delivery of training to international students, enrolled in a TAFE course in Western Australia. This nationally recognised course is delivered by a Western Australian TAFE college on TIWA's behalf. TIWA retains responsibility for the quality of the training and assessment delivered by the TAFE colleges and for the issue of certification documentation to students.
About this course
Fine tune your musical talent with this qualification. This specialised course will provide you with instrumental and vocal techniques and performance skills, music literacy, aural training and music analysis skills. Gain the skills to perform in an ensemble, and develop a repertoire and original material, which will be recorded in the on-campus recording studio.
During your studies you will learn how to incorporate technology into music composition, basic live audio skills, digital distribution, intellectual property management and mental health awareness.

You will be supported by music lecturers who have current industry experience and gain exposure to a range of industry figures and networks while working closely with studio engineers and technical production teams.

An IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.
Completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10.
Students will be required to participate in an interview with the North Metropolitan TAFE Head of Program for Music to discuss their Resume which outlines musical skills and experience.
