About this course

If you love to travel and want to build a career in the Travel industry then the Diploma of Travel and Tourism is an ideal course for you to study. This course will give you a rewarding pathway to embark, by teaching you the practical skills needed to work in the travel and tourism industry in areas such as tourism visitor services, leisure and corporate travel consulting, luxury and adventure travel and hotel accommodation services.

This course follows on from SIT30116 Certificate III in Tourism or SIT30216 Certificate IIII in Travel which enables you to further develop an understanding of popular tourist destinations and the operations of a travel company, using the latest travel software programs. You will enhance your business skills to become a business leader, incorporate marketing functions, monitor staffing, finance and budgets, and assess risks, all within the travel and tourism law requirements.

When you complete this course, you will have built strong communication and customer service skills, so that you can engage positively with clients to make a lasting impression, which will make them want to return and become regular customers.

Part of this course allows you to participate in tourism industry site visits and events, networking events and guest speaker events with the opportunity to network with industry personnel.

  • An IELTS score (Academic) of 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5 or equivalent.

Tuition fees

Resource fees

Resource fees are for consumables used by a student in the course of their study e.g. paint, internet use etc. This fee is paid to your college at enrolment.

If your course goes for two semesters or more, the resource fee may not need to be paid in one amount but may be spaced out over the duration of your courses. Your college will advise you of the payment amount each semester.

Material fees

​The Materials fee includes any item that remains the property of a student after the course has been completed e.g. personal protective equipment, tools, text books etc... This fee is paid to your college at enrolment.
