About this course
This course provides you with the skills and academic requirements you need to continue into the Diploma of Nursing by introducing study management, nursing terminology, work practices, human biology and health science.
You will improve your maths and communication skills and learn about physics, chemistry, microbiology and human biology. Please note that this course has an entry requirement of Australian Yr 11 with passes in Science and Maths. Students are also reqired to have an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6.5.

Please note that you must complete all of the core units listed on the qualification outline. You will be provided with a course outline at orientation which identifies the elective units you will be enrolled into at your TAFE college.
An IELTS score (Academic) of 6.5 with no band score less than 6.5 or equivalent is required.
Year 11 with passes in Maths is required for entry into this course
Year 11 with passes in Science is required for entry into this course
A certified police clearance from your home country is required. This must be presented to your college at Orientation.
You will not be able to complete the work placement of this course without this police clearance. If you attend North Metropolitan TAFE Joondalup campus, some classes may be offered at the McLarty Campus. This campus is approximately 10 minutes' walk from the main Joondalup campus. Students can access the free CAT bus that circulates in the Joondalup CBD.
