About this course

If you are ready for a technically advanced engineering career, then study MEM50212 Diploma of Engineering - Technical. This course will give you the analytical skills required to focus on mechanical engineering. This course will develop your ability to carry out mechanical engineering drafting and design and be able to draw and design mechanical equipment using CAD (computer aided drafting) skills.

You will learn the techniques of manufacturing and fabrication, and how to maintain mechanical systems in line with workplace health and safety procedures. Part of the courses teaches you about fluid power and the knowledge required to set up and connect hydraulic equipment.

Admission requirements

  • An IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.

  • Year 12 with passes in English and Year 11 Maths OR Completion of MEM30505 Certificate III in Engineering - Technical is required for entry into this course.
