TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, for the delivery of training to international students, enrolled in a TAFE course in Western Australia. This nationally recognised course is delivered by a Western Australian TAFE college on TIWA's behalf. TIWA retains responsibility for the quality of the training and assessment delivered by the TAFE colleges and for the issue of certification documentation to students.

This course will teach you the practical skills and knowledge you need to operate in the hairdressing industry. You will develop skills in cutting hair using clippers or scissors, how to shampoo, condition and rinse hair, and how to dry and style hair using brushes, combs, rollers and other equipment.
During your studies, you will also develop the ability to operate a cash register and computer, perform reception duties such as answering telephone calls, making appointments, and write up client record cards. This course has a practical work placement in a commercial hairdressing salon in order to obtain the skill level required to work in the hairdressing industry.
