TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, for the delivery of training to international students, enrolled in a TAFE course in Western Australia. This nationally recognised course is delivered by a Western Australian TAFE college on TIWA's behalf. TIWA retains responsibility for the quality of the training and assessment delivered by the TAFE colleges and for the issue of certification documentation to students.

If you have a passion for the environment and want to travel the world exploring and solving environmental issues and problems, then the Certificate IV in Environmental Monitoring and Technology is a great starting point for you.
During the course, you will gain the practical skills to collect and analyse environmental sampling, testing and monitoring in a variety of industry sectors including geotechnical services, natural resource management, water supply and treatment, storm and waste water management, solid and hazardous waste management and environmental monitoring, sampling and field testing including air, water, soil and rocks.
You also learn how to operate monitoring equipment, collect samples and conduct tests both in the field and at site laboratories and how to process and present this data using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software. This course uses a range of field trip activities, lab work, teamwork and online learning to assess your progress. With a growing importance on conservation and environmental impact of business, this is a good time to join this industry.
