TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider, for the delivery of training to international students, enrolled in a TAFE course in Western Australia. This nationally recognised course is delivered by a Western Australian TAFE college on TIWA's behalf. TIWA retains responsibility for the quality of the training and assessment delivered by the TAFE colleges and for the issue of certification documentation to students.
About this course
If you enjoy exercise and want to make a career of it, then SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness will make sure you are on your way to becoming a personal trainer or gym instructor. This course will provide you with all the practical skills and knowledge you need to apply anatomy and physiology principles to fitness, assess fitness levels and work with medical and allied health professionals.
You will also learn how to deliver exercise programs for seniors, groups and individuals and apply motivational psychology so that health and fitness goals are achieved. This course can be physically demanding and a good level of health is required. When you finish this course, you will be able to work independently or with limited guidance in a range of fitness industry businesses such as fitness centres, gyms, aquatic facilities and community sport centres.
