If you are interested in a graphic design career, then CUA40715 Certificate IV in Design - Graphic Design is a great foundation course that will give you a broad understanding and some practical experience in the graphic design discipline, which may include corporate and branding, packaging, user experience, web/Interface and environmental signage design to name a few.

The course covers approximately 50/50 digital versus traditional, manual skills. It concentrates on solid software skills using industry-standard Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign in an environment that replicates a real industry setup. Some of the course units will concentrate on an introduction to web and interface design, while other units cover conceptual and creative thinking skills. This course is taught with a hands-on practical approach as graphic design is a practical discipline and it is important that you receive this experience.

Admission requirements

  • An IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.

  • Equivalent to Australian Year 12.

  • OR Completion of CUA30715 Certificate III in Design Fundamentals is required for entry into this course.
