You will be qualified to work within a community services framework and help plan and conduct group activities for clients, whilst implementing health promotion programs. NR TAFE can provide assistance in finding a suitable placement, and you will be supervised by staff at the facility. Your supervision and support requirements will be fully documented, and a workplace information booklet containing task lists and the requirements for training and assessment, will be provided to you and the workplace supervisor to ensure appropriate supervision and guidance in the workplace.

A comprehensive risk management process is undertaken and documented to ensure it is deemed a safe workplace. A database of work placement organisations is maintained by North Metropolitan TAFE.
To be accepted for workplace volunteering in a Community Services agency, students may require a National Police Clearance certificate and a Working with Children Card based on workplace policy. Some agencies have additional requirements before accepting students on work experience.

Work placements are organised and coordinated in accordance with the North Metropolitan TAFE Work Placement/Work Placement Policy (PCY092). A comprehensive risk management process is undertaken and documented to ensure it is deemed a safe workplace. A database of work placement organisations is maintained by North Metropolitan TAFE.
To be accepted for workplace volunteering in a Community Services agency, students may require a National Police Clearance certificate and a Working with Children Card based on workplace policy. Some agencies have additional requirements before accepting students on work experience.
