World Class Automotive Training Open to International Students at Challenger

International Students undertake mechanic training courses at Challenger

International students can now enjoy world class automotive training at South Metropolitan TAFE.

International students from nine countries have already enrolled in the Certificate III in Light Automotive Mechanical Technology course at the state-of-the-art Kwinana campus, south of Perth. Students can progress to higher level qualifications, such as Certificate IV and Diploma.

Students gained experience working in a pit-crew at Perth’s Barbagallo Raceway, changing tyres and measuring the temperature and tyre pressure of competing race cars. "The best part was getting to know how a mechanic works in a real-life situation," said Indonesian student Christopher Tanuwijaya. "My dream is to one day work with racing cars in Formula One."
