Chinese delegates impressed with TAFE college facilities

Visitors from China

Central Institute of Technology (now part of North Metropolitan TAFE) recently welcomed three delegates from Chinese partner education Institutes when they visited Perth.

A group of lecturers and students from Jinhua Polytechnic, Jiangsu College of Engineering and Technology and Zhejiang Business College came to North Metropolitan TAFE to take part in classroom observations, personal development workshops and tours geared around learning how the Australian vocational sector operates.

International Market Development Manager Sarah Emmerson said "Central is fortunate to be in long-term partnerships with these Institutes. Twice a year Central's lecturers travel to China to assist in the delivery of courses to local Chinese students. The students graduate in China with Central qualifications."

"Study Tours such as these give our Institutes a real opportunity to consolidate our relationships, provide a forum to exchange ideas and concepts and showcase the diverse and extensive learning facilities Central has to offer."
