North Metropolitan TAFE has won the Australian Training Awards in the International Training Provider of the Year category!

The award recognises a training organisation that has demonstrated outstanding achievement in providing vocational education and training (VET) to full-fee paying international students in Australia.

This win follows Central winning the International Training Provider of the Year at the Western Australia Training Awards in four of the past five years. Central has a strong international focus over more than 20 years, currently providing 120 quality training courses to students from over 84 countries.

Central's commitment to student support extends to an ambassador program where a group of Central's experienced international students help new international students settle into their studies and Perth lifestyle.

Western Australia’s Training and Workforce Development Minister Dr Kim Hames said the win was an outstanding achievement by North Metropolitan TAFE and a testament to the hard work and determination of everyone involved.

"North Metropolitan TAFE's approach is an excellent example of tailoring training and program strategy to meet student, industry and market needs," Dr Hames said.
