Australia does not have an official religion, and people are free to practice their religious beliefs, provided they do not break the law. The majority of Australians identify themselves as Christians, but all of the world’s major religions are practiced here.

Religious public holidays are celebrated on Christmas Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday.
